Hondurian White Tent Bats (Ectophylla alba)
Somewhat hard to find, this species of bat resembles cotton balls. Like other tent bats this species constructs tents fairly close to the ground, in banana, Heliconia or Calathea leaves. They select fairly horizontal leaves which are folded by partially severing the tissue about half a centimeter off the central vein. La Selva Biological Station tends to be a good site to see this species.
